Who we are

We are Studio Glass, an independent creative agency on the Dorset coast. We traded the hustle and bustle of London for the dream of starting a seaside design studio. Here, we dedicate more time to fewer projects, ensuring each one drives creative, commercial and cultural impact. Our goal is to be a disruptor, partnering with people, products and places that share our same vision.

Meet the founders

Chris Johnson
Creative Director

Chris is a Sydney-born designer with over a decade of experience building brands at top international agencies. He’s led creative for clients such as Amazon, Diageo, Logitech and Native Land, and played a key role in shaping the identities of major developments like Bankside Yards and Battersea Power Station. With a strategic mindset and a passion for digital innovation, Chris brings sharp thinking and a future-facing approach to every project at Studio Glass.

Sammy Murphy
Creative Director

Sammy is a London-born designer with a passion for editorial design, storytelling and placemaking. With over a decade of experience at leading agencies and publications including The Sunday Times, she’s worked with brands including BBC Music, Barclays and Yo! Sushi. At Studio Glass, she leads projects with a sharp eye for typography and a love for community-building, recently launching Pier – a creative journal celebrating the culture of Dorset.

Our approach

We extend beyond creating a strong design aesthetic; we define your brand's purpose. Through in-depth strategy and impactful design, we communicate complex ideas with clarity.

01   Discover

Every project begins with a workshop to gain a clear understanding of your goals, challenges and context. We combine these insights with sector and cultural research, and summarise the findings into a focused document that guides the rest of the process.

02   Define

Grounded in research, we develop a strategic direction that informs the design. This includes narrative frameworks, mood boards and reference materials that explore tone, personality and visual language–laying the foundation for all future creative work.

03   Design

With a clear direction in place, we begin to design. Whether building a brand identity, packaging system or digital experience, this stage brings ideas to life across real-world applications and digital experiences.

04   Deliver

Once the creative is finalised, we produce all deliverables and supporting guidelines to ensure consistency and flexibility. The result is work that’s built to last and ready to evolve with your business.
